Dr. Abby R. O’Connor

Assistant Professor

Dr. O’Connor earned her B.S. from Lafayette College and her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She comes to TCNJ after completing post-doctoral research at The Center for Enabling New Technologies Through Catalysis (CENTC) housed at The University of Washington. During her post-doctoral position, O’Connor also developed a highly successful outreach program that highlights the role of chemists in solving the current energy crisis and plans to bring similar programs to TCNJ. Her research interests focus on the synthesis of inexpensive metal complexes to aid in more efficient methods to produce commodity chemicals.
