The courses I have frequently taught include General Chemistry I and II, Analytical Chemistry, and Instrumental Analysis. In addition, I have taught Separation Science for numerous times. Outside of school I like jogging and Taiwanese music.

Research

Analytical separations are my research interests. A variety of HPLC techniques are used to separate petroleum asphalt into fractions for further characterization, and to analyze amino acids in biological samples for clinical application.  My current research has extended to include using capillary electrophoresis in chemical separation.  The migrations of chemical species in a bare silica capillary under the influence of surfactants are to be studied and characterized.  An analytical method for amino acid analysis using capillary electrophoresis is to be developed and validated.
